Yup, it's that time of year again... Couldn't be bothered to do a new Halloween mash right now. So here's an old one on the matter. Hope you're cool with that.

Proud to say my mash-up with Billy Idol, RHCP, Bon Jovi and a few others made it to #4 on that list!
Thank you all!
#01 Magic Kids - Hey Boy [link] Happy-go-lucky sunshine pop from Memphis, Tennessee. Reads like the Beach Boys hooking up with the other Spector, not ours. Pure pop bliss! #02 The Found Sound Orchestra - The Sound of the Sun Falling [link] Mr 9 is back - and I’m wondering: who the fuck are The Avalanches ??!! #03 Röyksopp - This Must Be It (Rex The Dog K-DART Remix) [link] How can you go wrong with an equation comprising Röyksopp, Rex the Dog AND Karin??!! #04 The Phenomenal Handclap Band - 15 to 20 (Soundhog’s Extended Mix) [link] Epic 12 minute electro odyssey from a first class bastard. #05 Retro/Grade - Zoid [link] Tom Neville and Serge Santiago’s own little Pulstar pastiche. Fresh sounding space electro taking you straight back to the glory days of Italo. #06 Saint Etienne - Only Love Can Break Your Heart (Richard X Extended Vocal mix) [link] Sarah Cracknell’s been breaking my heart from the word go. Nothing’s changed - except we’ve got a brill new remix by the X. #07 Duck Sauce - aNYway [link] Armand Van Helden and A-Track go bonkers NY disco funk style. Very very good. #08 David Turpin - The Bone Dance [link] Moody electro pop. Just what the doctor ordered. Very addictive. #09 Local Natives - Camera Talk [link] Arcade Fire on happier pills. Possibly visiting the beach. Or the Beach Boys…. #10 Mumford & Sons - The Cave [link] Michael Stipe moves to London and starts a folk band. Kinda. Very good.
The good folks over at Mashstix made "The Other Wedding Song", my remix/mash-up with Billy Idol, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Eyed Peas, Madonna, and Bon Jovi, their no.1 in their weekly Top 10 Countdown show, the Radio Stix show!
Mashuptalk is a feature on Mashuptown hosted by Chris DeLine of Culture Bully fame that puts the spotlight on an individual bootlegger, revealing their roots, their history, and their influences.

Here's a little left-over from that Mash Cup Clash thing.
A bit of cosy electro soul about love gone awry. Not as horrible as the sources may imply...

July 2009, Pedalo Towers, bubble bath, Mr Matey, best rubber ducky, I sat, soul searching, wondering how was I to follow the success of '72', revitalize the genre of mash-up and save the universe, then rubber ducky turned to me and spoke these words "make them fight... to the death" eurika! I would take 12 of the worlds greatest mash-up gladiators and have them compete in a knock out competition to find the worlds greatest mash-up artist, 72 hours each, no holds barred. and so began;
- Each pair of artists had 72 hours, to do no more than 3 minutes of mashed audio in each round, 4 minutes the final. - There were no rules on content, but submissions had to be new, and not released anywhere before. - No choke holds, no gouging.
My contribution? ABC's "The Look of Love" vs Survivor's "The Eye of the Tiger". How did I do? Hmm... man, look at that weather... Sure is raining, innit?
